HC Deb 21 February 1995 vol 255 c152W
Mr. Worthington

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what action is being taken by the international authorities to detain in Cameroon, Ferdinand Nahimana, former director of Radio Mille Collines in Rwanda, and to charge him with genocide.

Mr. Baldry

The International Tribunal for Rwanda, as established by Security Council resolution 955 of 8 November 1994, is in the process of being set up. It will be for the prosecutor to decide whom to bring to trial. We expect all states to comply with their obligations under SCR 955 to surrender suspects at the tribunal's request.
