To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if employers are required to inform employees who do not re-authorise the renewal of their trade union membership subscriptions under the terms of the Trade Union Reform and Employment Rights Act 1993 that they will cease to be members of their trade union.

§ Mr. Oppenheim
No. An employee who does not authorise the continuance of deductions from pay for trade union subscriptions may have moved to another means of payment.
