To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what was the percentage increase in the SSA for Leicester council between 1994–95 and 1995–96.

On a comparable basis, Leicester city council's SSA increases by 2.6 per cent. from £40.340 million in 1994–95 to £41.396 million in 1995–96. This compares with an increase of 0.1 per cent. for non-metropolitan districts as a whole.
