To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what action was taken against the officer in charge of the patrol at the time of the incident which led to the imprisonment of Private Lee Clegg; and if he will make a statement.

The officer concerned was tried in the Belfast high court on two counts: making a statement with intent to pervert the course of justice; and obstructing the police. The officer was found not guilty of both charges.
