To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what account he will take of the views of national park residents on his plans to change the structure of national park authorities.

Mr. Atkins

Our proposals for the future administration of the national parks are set out in part III of the Environment Bill, which is currently being considered in another place. No doubt my hon. Friend and other hon. Members whose constituents live in the parks will make their views known when the Bill comes before the House in due course.
