Mr. Alison

The initiative for the sale, purchase and construction of parsonages rests with the diocesan parsonages boards although each transaction requires the consent of the Church Commissioners. Over the 10 year period 1985–1994, 563 parsonages have been built, 550 purchased and 1,486 sold. The following table gives details including location by diocese and sums raised or expended.
