Mr. Alfred.MorrisTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to his answer of 25 January,Official Report, column 201, if he will now make it his policy to collate and publish statistics on the number of people disabled as a result of accidents at work in the sea-fishing industry.
§ Mr. NorrisIt is not feasible for this Department to collect information on disabilities resulting from injuries sustained at work in the sea-fishing industry. However, major and serious injuries are required to be reported to the Department's marine accident investigation branch under the Merchant Shipping (Accident Reporting and Investigation) Regulations 1994. The information is collated by MAIB for inclusion in its annual report.
