The Secretary of State for Social Security has asked me to reply to your recent Parliamentary Question asking for the amounts recovered by the Compensation Recovery Unit (CRU) in cases of industrial disease and illness, by the disease or illness suffered for each of the last five years.Information is not available in the exact format requested. This is because data prior to April 1994 is no longer held on the computer system and to obtain such information would be at a disproportionate cost.
