To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what conservation groups have been invited to participate in the Crown Estate's joint group on wildfowling and conservation on tidal land lease application procedures.

[holding answer 1 February 1995]English Nature is a member of the joint group. Voluntary bodies are being consulted on the new draft procedures, which it is hoped will be extended to all foreshore leases granted by the Crown Estate.
