§ Mr. NorrisMy predecessor wrote to vehicle manufacturers in 1993 expressing concern about the fitting of aggressive bull bars. We have since put in hand the accident analysis referred to in my answer of 31 January. We shall consider whether further steps should be taken to discourage vehicle manufacturers from fitting bull bars, and owners of existing vehicles from using them on the road with bull bars attached, in the light of that analysis.
