§ The Prime MinisterSome 3,000 recommendations were considered for the new year and birthday honours lists 1994, of which around 500 were supported by members of the public. It is not possible to break down the recommendations into categories, but the number of awards made were: CBE 201 awards; OBE 493; and MBE 1,202.
