§ Mr. Steven NorrisDetailed data relating to accidents on motorways for at least the last 10 years are kept in the national accident database. The precise baseline is likely to include the years 1994 and 1995 but a longer time series is available, if needed.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to his answer of 31 January,Official Report, column 588, if he will estimate the fatal and serious injuries relating to the risks of lane changes, and of the incidence of harsh braking for crashes in the outside lane of two lane, three lane and four lane carriageways.
