§ Mr. BaldryThe following countries have announced their support for an international ban on the use, production, stockpiling and transfer of anti-personnel land mines: Australia, Belgium, Cambodia, Columbia, Ireland, Mexico and Sweden.
The 49th session of the General Assembly adopted by consensus a resolution supporting further international efforts to seek solutions to the problems caused by 21W anti-personnel land mines, with a view to their eventual elimination.
