To ask the Secretary of State for Transport (1) what support officers of the British Transport police may given when they are asked by members of the public for help in a situation outwith their current jurisdiction as a constable;

(2) what support officers of the British Transport police may give when they are asked by members of the Home Department forces for supporting action in situations away from the railway.
