§ Mr. Douglas HoggOn 26 January, 79 human rights monitors were in Rwanda. The eventual target is 147. We expect more to be deployed shortly.
§ Mr. Jim CunninghamTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (1) what discussions he has had with representatives of the United Nations in regard to assisting the Rwandan authorities in bringing those responsible for human rights violations to justice;
(2) what discussions he has had with the United Nations regarding the establishment of an international criminal tribunal for Rwanda.
