§ Mr. BowisWe have made substantial improvements to services for elderly people and will continue to do so. The priorities and planning guidance for the NHS: 1995–96 requires authorities to identify needs and put specific actions in hand to ensure further improvements, and to secure care in the community, including continuing health care, in effective collaboration with local authorities and other agencies.
