§ Mr. Hanley[holding answer 19 December 1995]: We understand that an investigation by the World bank of alleged linkages between World bank-financed projects and child and prison labour in China is nearing completion. Management will report its findings to the board of directors. The matter has not been discussed in the IMF, which has no financial programme in China.
