§ Mr. PageThere are no extant oil and gas exploration licences for the firth of Clyde, sound of Jura and sound of Mull. No applications were received for these areas in the recent seventh round of onshore oil and gas licensing.
As in previous onshore rounds, all unlicensed areas including estuarine and near shore waters, referred to as "watery areas", were offered for licensing.
