§ Mr. BlunkettTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment if she will list for all English secondary schools, including special schools, in 1995(a) the average GCSE point scores, (b) the average percentages achieving at least five Cs, (c) the average percentages achieving at least five Gs and (d) the average percentages achieving at least one pass, in 5 percentile groups ranked by their 15-year-old pupils' achievements according to each of these indices, respectively, on the same basis as the annual schools performance tables. [7028]
§ Mr. Robin SquireThe following list for 1995, shows(a) the average GCSE point scores, (b) the average percentages achieving at least five Cs, (c) the average percentages achieving at least give Gs, (d) the average percentages achieving at least one pass, in 5 per centile groups ranked by their 15-year pupils' achievements according to each of these indices. These figures are based on the school performance tables published in November and they exclude data from the published schools that had 1034W less than 10 pupils aged 15. The averages quoted are simple averages, based on the sums of the percentage divided by the numbers of schools involved. This is consistent with the data for earlier years provided in the reply to the hon. Member's question of 8 November. Official Report, columns 960-61.
