To ask the Secretary of State for Health what response the Government will now be making to the World Health Organisation's European alcohol action plan. [7120]

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many deaths there have been from alcohol-related illness in each of the last five years. [7322]

There is no accepted definition of the term "alcohol-related".

To ask the Secretary of State for Health which organisation he consulted before his announcement on changes to the recommended weekly amounts of consumption of alcohol. [7221]

Interested persons and organisations were invited to submit written evidence to the inter-departmental group reviewing the sensible drinking message.

Ms Harman

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what estimate he has made of the cost to the national health service of alcohol-related disease in each of the last five years. [7321]

There is no generally accepted method of producing such estimates.
