The 1991 census recorded a total of 530,000 households in Northern Ireland.Figures from the 1994–95 continuous household survey suggest that 99.7 per cent. of households in Northern Ireland are connected to an electricity supply.The information requested on the number of existing homes connected to the mains electricity in each of the last five years is not available;NIE has a duty under the Electricity (Northern Ireland) Order 1992 to give supply on request and a right to recover any expenses reasonably incurred in providing supply.
