To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment how many appeals were made by parents on the grounds of non-admission of their child to the school of their choice in(a) 1993–94 and (b) 1994–95; how many of these appeals went before a statutory committee; and of these how many were (i) rejected and (ii) found in parents' favour.
