§ Mr. HoramThe Department of Health has an agreement with the Association of British Travel Agents that notifications about outbreaks of disease will be sent to it and it, in turn, will notify the travel industry. The Department first wrote to the Federation of Tour Operators about the outbreak of legionnaire's disease in Kusadasi on 29 September, although informal contact had been made by telephone a day earlier. Copies of the letters to ABTA and the FTO will be placed in the Library.
