§ The Prime MinisterMy predecessor has visited Switzerland on an official basis only once. She paid the first ever official visit to Switzerland by a British Prime Minister in office on 20–21 September 1990. The purpose of the visit was to discuss Swiss relations with the European Community, European Security Architecture and the Gulf crisis.
