§ Mr. Ian TaylorThe percentage change in Government expenditure in real terms on science and technology in the science and engineering base through 283W the science budget—that is excluding the contributions from the Education Departments, which are not yet known—between 1993–94 and 1997–98 is +1.3 per cent.
The equivalent figure for the rest of the Department of Trade and Industry, net of launch aid, is not yet available as relevant expenditure plans for forward years have not yet been determined. Full details of the breakdown will appear in the next "Forward Look" of Government-funded science, engineering and technology due to be published in May 1996.
