§ Mr. MaloneFurther to my answer of 19 June 1995,Official Report, column 38, I now wish to clarify the situation. The parliamentary question tabled in June asked for details of the benevolent fund. It was impossible to identify the body on the basis of the information given. Further information was sought but none was provided. We now have full information which indicates that the question related to the national health service pensioners trust. The trust was formally established in 1990. It is managed independently by its trustees and any action regarding the management costs of the trust is the responsibility of those trustees.
