To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what proportion of new lettings by housing associations have been made to people in receipt of housing benefit in(a) 1994 and (b) 1995 to date. [3187]

The latest available information relates to housing association lettings to households that are eligible for either full or partial housing benefit.

The figures for 1994 and the first nine months of 1995 are:
