To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security (1) what is the projected total annual spending on benefits for disabled people for(a) 1995–96, (b) 1996–97 and (c) 1997–98; and what was the equivalent figure for 1978–79; [3801]

(2) what is the projected total annual spending on benefits for carers for (a) 1995–96, (b) 1996–97 and (c) 1997–98; and what was the equivalent figure for 1978–79; [3800]

(3) what is the projected total annual spending on benefits for the long-term sick for (a) 1995–96, (b) 1996–97 and (c) 1997–98; and what was the equivalent figure for 1978–79. [3802]
