To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will provide details of the efficiency savings required to meet his Department's budget settlement. [3679]

Mr. Soames

The MOD efficiency programme has led to savings worth more than £3 billion and "Front Line First" will produce a further £1 billion of savings per year by the end of the century. We will build on this in setting targets for future efficiency savings.
