§ The Attorney-GeneralSince 1 January 1995, I have referred 68 cases in England and Wales and four in Northern Ireland. One has been withdrawn, twenty-four86W have so far been heard by the Court of Appeals of which 22, or 92 per cent., have resulted in an increase in sentence.
