§ Mrs. BrowningWe welcome the steady progress being made in the mainland EU member states towards the eradication of rabies in their countries, although we are disappointed to see the increase in the number of reported cases in Belgium in the third quarter of 1994. This was apparently due to a single focus of infection in foxes in the Belgian province of Luxembourg. We shall continue to monitor the situation carefully.
