§ Sir Patrick MayhewFollowing an earlier process of public consultation, I have concluded that legislation on the general lines of the Race Relations Act 1976 should be introduced in Northern Ireland. It is my intention to bring this legislation forward by means of an Order in Council as soon as possible.
