§ Mr. Robin SquireIn January 1994 the average sizes of single-teacher classes in primary and secondary schools in England maintained by local education authorities were 26.9 and 21.5 respectively. These figures do not include grant-maintained schools.
Information on class sizes in independent schools is not collected centrally.
