§ Mrs. BrowningDuring the period, export health certification was issued for 28,423 sheep for further fattening, and for 630 sheep for slaughter. Bi-lateral arrangements with the Spanish veterinary authorities aim to ensure, by a system of spot-checks, that transport arrangements are satisfactory and that the sheep for further fattening reach their declared final destinations. We have no information on the places of slaughter for sheep exported for further fattening.
