§ Mr. RedwoodIn accordance with my statement, I have asked the Curriculum and Assessment Authority for Wales to prepare guidelines for the revision of locally agreed religious education syllabuses. The guidelines will assist local authorities and their standing advisory councils on religious education over the next statutory syllabus reviews. They will also reflect the important place that Christianity holds in the religious traditions of this country.
