To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many meetings there have been in(a) 1994–95, (b) 1993–94, (c) 1992–93 and (d) 1991–92 between herself, a health Minister or parliamentary private secretaries and representatives of private health insurance companies; and if she will make a statement on the content of these discussions. There have been numerous meetings to discuss a range of topics relevant to private medical insurance, including taxation policy, long-term care and advertising. The available information is shown in the table.
