I am replying to your recent Parliamentary Question to the Secretary of State for Social Security about the number of absent parents who live in the same household as the qualifying child.There is no liability for child maintenance where parents live in the same household, but we estimate that 6 per cent of absent parents who have had a maintenance assessment arranged by the Agency have the same postal address as the parent with care.I hope this is of help.
