§ Mr. SoamesMy noble Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Defence announced the sale of Portland naval base to Portland Port Ltd. on 6 April. Portland Port Ltd. is a Dorset-based company and we believe it offers the best long-term prospect for the local community and for reuse of the naval base.
