To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how much money has been devoted to funding education research projects by his Department in each of the last five years; what percentage of education spending this is; and if he will make a statement about the equivalent figures for the Department for Education, the Scottish Office and the Northern Ireland Office. 1The funding of further and higher education in Wales became the direct responsibility of the Welsh Office in 1993.
