To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what the Northern Ireland tourist board defines as being within the Greater Belfast area for the purposes of deciding upon grant applications for new hotels.

The Northern Ireland tourist board currently defines the Greater Belfast area as the area within a 10-mile radius of Belfast city centre.

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many grants or loans have been approved by the Northern Ireland tourist board for(a) new hotels, (b) extensions to existing hotels and (c) licensed guest inns in the Greater Belfast area in the first three months of 1995.

In the first three months of 1995, no grants or loans were approved by the Northern Ireland tourist board for new hotels, extensions to existing hotels or licensed guest inns in the Greater Belfast area.
