HC Deb 18 April 1995 vol 258 cc120-1W
Mrs. Beckett

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will list the recommendations of the Acheson report into primary care services in London in the early 1980s which were not carried out. [18721]

Mr. Malone

The individual recommendations of the Acheson report are no longer relevant as the 1990 general practitioner contract and the national health service reforms have changed the framework within which primary care services are provided. However, these changes did take full account of the Acheson report, and the further development of services in the London initiative zone following the Tomlinson report have continued the improvement of primary care services in London.
