§ Sir Hector MonroIt would not be appropriate to comment on the advice which Ministers received from their officials. I can, however, confirm that in respect of those listed buildings my right. hon. Friend has decided to call in for his own decision applications for listed building consent. The applicants and the councils may now decide whether they wish the application to be determined by a public local inquiry or by an exchange of written submissions and a site inspection.
