HC Deb 18 April 1995 vol 258 c44W
Mr. Bradley

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many people, not on other benefits, are now receiving a disability premium with their housing benefit on the ground that they are incapable of work; and how many(a) existing recipients of the premium and (b) new claimants he estimates will be found capable of work in (i) 1995–96, (ii) 1996–97 and (iii) 1997–98. [18803]

Mr. Hague

Within housing benefit, the number of people receiving the disability premium without other benefits is negligible. It is therefore not possible to estimate how many will be found capable of work in future years.
