§ Mr. SackvilleIn the United Kingdom, an estimated 1.2 per cent, of the population have clinically diagnosed diabetes, while the number of currently undiagnosed individuals is considered to increase this to 2 per cent, or more. No information is available centrally on the numbers of diabetics who live alone or on the incidence of coma deaths among them.
