HC Deb 18 April 1995 vol 258 c11W
Mr. Morgan

To ask the President of the Board of Trade what legal provisions govern the duties of company directors as regards the reading of papers and minutes for board meetings. [18922]

Mr. Jonathan Evans

The reading of papers and minutes for board meetings by a director would be an aspect of his or her conduct which could be taken into account by a court in determining whether the director had complied with the general duties of skill and care imposed on directors under the case law developed by the courts.
