To ask the President of the Board of Trade what measures he has taken to persuade the president of Raytheon to reconsider his decision to close the Raytheon plant in Broughton. [17836]

Ministers at the DTI and the Welsh Office have met the president of Raytheon and have written to the company. The UK work force at Raytheon and local interests at Broughton have been kept in touch.
