HC Deb 05 April 1995 vol 257 cc1213-4W
Mr. Alex Carlile

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what plans she has to include mental illness in the list of medical conditions which confer exemption from prescription charges; and if she will make a statement. [17714]

None. The list of exempt conditions was, and still is, limited to those whichneed continuous medication for life long periods and which admit no discretion by doctors as to identification of individuals".

No changes have been made.
