§ Mr. AtkinsIt is the Government's policy to minimise the use of pesticides through the rigorous approval and review of products, through guidance to users and through research and development. Targets for reducing emissions of certain pesticides to the marine environment have been agreed by the international conferences on the protection of the North sea.
