§ Mr. BoswellNo specific cost resulted from the abolition of the National Youth Bureau, as its staff and functions were taken over by the National Youth Agency on its establishment in April 1991. The grant previously paid to the five national youth service bodies including the National Youth Bureau was channelled through the NYA.
In 1990–91, DFE grant to the national youth service bodies was £1.067 million. In 1991–92, DFE grant to the agency was £1.345 million, which comprised a core grant of £1.165 million and additional grant of £0.180 million. The additional grant included funding for initial start-up costs of the agency.
