§ Mr. ForthOfficials replied to the Royal Microscopical Society's proposal on 2 March 1995. The reply welcomed the society's initiative and wished it well, while making it clear that it is for schools and local authorities to decide what equipment they need to meet the requirements of the national curriculum.
